Our Path Towards Net Zero Has Started

The global community has set the goal to reach overall climate neutrality until 2050.

As a supplier of production equipment, we want to make our contribution to this within all existing sustainability dimensions and at the same time be a reliable partner within the supply chains in the various sectors. Broetje-Automation is aware of its social responsibility and the importance to ensure resilience for todays and future business. Creating the Factory of the Future will be shaped by sustainable automation.

Broetje-Automation therefore has integrated sustainability as a core target in the company vision and strategy with a perspective towards 2050 and short-term goals towards 2028 and 2035.

A holistic approach to be ready for the future

Within the strategy process for Sustainability a materiality analysis has identified six major topics (Materialities) which form the priorities in sustainability action at Broetje-Automation.

At the same time the TOP priority SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals, United Nations) have been identified.

In addition, the company is committed to providing excellent support to its customers, as evidenced by the provision of ergonomic support for its diverse products. Since we care about our environment and its well-being, we are involved in several social projects. Among them MINT and Summitree, with which Broetje-Automation is involved locally to help shape, promote and make a positive impact in the region.

Our Focus on Sustainable Development

To achieve this, we follow regulations and standards such as EN9100, prepare for specific legislation such as the LkSG, and include sustainable requirements in supplier approvals such as ISO 14001 and 45001. Measuring our carbon footprint and key performance indicators helps us identify areas for improvement and track progress toward our sustainability goals. Prioritizing sustainability in the supply chain is essential for Broetje-Automation to ensure long-term success and contribute to a more sustainable factory of the future.

It established ten principles in the areas of human rights, fair labor practices, environmental protection, and corruption prevention, and supports the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

Ramping Up Wind Turbine Production with Torque Systems – Broetje-Automation delivers automated equipment to Siemens Gamesa

The production of wind turbines is expected to increase drastically in the coming years. To prepare for a fast and reliable production ramp-up, Broetje-Automation supports Siemens Gamesa with automated equipment. With the delivery of an automated bolt fastening machine to the factory in Cuxhaven, the partners have reached an important milestone in the establishment of the Torque Systems product family.

VE2E: Research project for the development of the factory of the future a complete success

It began as a promising vision in July 2021 and has now come to a successful conclusion: the research project “Vertically integrated, sustainable end-to-end factory (VE2E)” for the development of a digital Factory of the Future. At the beginning of March, the forward-looking results of the research project were presented to a wide audience at Premium AEROTEC’s Varel site.
