Following our mission „Equipping the Factory of the Future” at WindEnergy 2024, we are proud to present the latest innovation for the future of wind turbine manufacturing: At booth #203 in hall B5, we will showcase the “Snowflake Project” – a large mobile platform that houses an industrial robot for flexible fastening of turbine components. Together with our partners PLARAD – Maschinenfabrik Wagner and the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University, we have created a highly flexible assembly system that supports higher production rates and improves the reliability and quality of the bolt tensioning process.
Project Snowflake
Project Snowflake integrates an automated bolt tensioning end-effector with an industrial robot system mounted on an autonomous guided vehicle to transform this manual task into a fully mobile integrated system. Snowflake follows our vision to improve quality and make work easier through technology to deliver the most efficient, sustainable and pioneering production systems worldwide. The concept will contribute to the ambitious goals of the global energy transition.
The Snowflake project is a collaboration with PLARAD and WZL. The system will perform live at the show!
Forum "Production Technology"
On Wednesday, 25.09. 12.30h we invite you to join us at the “Forum Production Technology”. The event at the Offshore Stage in Hall B5 is organized by our partner WAB e.V. and brings together experts from industry, research and supply chain to discuss innovations and technologies for tomorrow’s production. After the event, we invite you to join us for a networking lunch at our booth 203 just next to the Offshore Stage.
